📣👉 UPDATE: TUESDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2023
Please note, the lower High Street has now been cleared and swept, and is open.
However, the footpath from Heritage Square to the Stone Quay has been closed by Dorset Council so that repairs can be undertaken to the footpath.
This means that the public toilets in the Heritage Centre building remain closed at this time. Please visit the Council's website for details of alternative/nearby toilets. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. Thank you.

❗❗ PLEASE NOTE:
⛔️ IN THE INTERESTS OF HEALTH AND SAFETY, DORSET COUNCIL HAS CLOSED THE SEAFRONT FOOTPATH FROM HERITAGE SQUARE TO THE STONE QUAY FOLLOWING DAMAGE CAUSED BY STORM CIARAN, THIS ALSO MEANS THAT THE PUBLIC TOILETS AT SWANAGE MUSEUM & HERITAGE CENTRE WILL THEREFORE BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
An update will be provided in due course.

📣👉 STORM CIARAN - UPDATE:
Following damage and movement experienced overnight during Storm Ciaran, please note that Dorset Highways will be closing part of the lower High Street in due course so that the Legato sea defence blocks can be safely put back into position, and the area cleared.
⛔️ This part of the High Street is currently covered in debris, sand, and stones, please avoid the area in the interests of health and safety. A further update will be posted once the area has been cleared and opened again.

Please note that the footpath between Heritage Square and the Stone Quay has also sustained some damage during the night. The area has been taped off and repairs will be undertaken in due course. Thank you.
